Tyrolean Kaisers Infantry Associations Local Group Innsbruck

On the 08th of May 2010 the 29th Kaisers Infantry shooting took place on the 'Bergisel' in Innsbruck.

Bergisel and the Firing Stand
Since 1816 the Bergisel, the site of the Tyrolean freedom fight of 1809, has been the firing place range of Tyrolean Kaisers Infantry. In remembrance of Andreas Hofer, the leader of the Tyrolean freedom fight against Napoleon,

a monument was erected next to the firing range. One also finds the Tyrolean Kaisers Infantry Museum with memorabilia from the Kaisers Infantry campaigns and the Officers casino in Urichhaus.
